Meet Emily,
Our Philosophy.
A long time ago humans had a way of learning through natural exploration by allowing their senses to guide them. Sight, sound, taste, touch and even intuition. For children who are highly sensitive, this last one is particularly important to include. Many people have a way of knowing how to explore on their own yet when confined to a tight space with four walls and a set of rules, we easily forget this innate ability. The beauty is that we can all easily remember when provided with opportunities to do so.
We believe that every person deserves the chance to learn at their own pace, in an environment that is safe and conducive to growth. Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual safety must come first—only then can genuine learning and development begin.
Our approach is child-centered, creative, and independent. We support students in developing self-motivation from within, helping them reach their strengths and potential. At the heart of our work is compassion: we learn alongside our students, and in turn teach them compassion through example.
We recognize that every learner is unique, and so every student–teacher relationship requires its own thoughtful approach. Lessons are designed collaboratively, drawing on a holistic process that includes the child, family, and other team members.
For us, learning is not just an approach—it is an experience. When learning takes place, it opens the door to imagination, strengthens the spirit, and builds the foundation for a lifelong love of discovery.
At a Taste of Learning
Every learner’s journey is unique. We provide a welcoming environment where curiosity leads, strengths are celebrated, and each child grows into their own potential. Learning with us is a discovery—guided by care, community, and a holistic view of every child

Inspiration
Emily has been collecting elephants since she was a small child. She felt called to this animal for their loyalty, love, courage, and strength. Thus, it was meant to be that the elephant had a place at A Taste of Learning.
Elephants embody strength, both physical and inner enabling individuals to overcome obstacles. They are known for their loyalty, their family unity, and the significance of relationships. Elephants have great patience, endurance, and steady progress. They represent wisdom and strength and are associated with love, great courage, and healing. They symbolize longevity and the link with our ancestral memory. At A Tase of Learning, we embrace all the ancient wisdom the elephant has to teach and appreciate the playfulness that comes with learning in great strides.
